This wetland is located about 35 km from Oum El Bouaghi in the commune of Ain Zeitoun. It covers an area of 1,460 hectares. It contains a variety of plant species and different animals, the most important of which are the pink flamingos, cranes, white herons, purple egrets, hoopoe, Shahrman…etc. It is internationally listed under the Ramsar Convention. It is considered as a tourist destination due to the rest and leisure that it contains, and it is considered as a natural laboratory for scientific tourism and a destination for students and researchers.
